Karim El Berkaoui to Decide His New Destination This Week

Moroccan striker Karim El Berkaoui is close to finalizing his football future in the coming days, following the end of his tenure with Saudi club Al Raed, where he played for five consecutive seasons.

Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" has revealed that Al-Barkawi is currently considering a number of serious offers he has received recently, and is expected to make his final decision this week.

Al Hazm, the Saudi club recently promoted to the Roshan League, is at the forefront of interest in new signings, alongside clubs from the UAE, Egypt, and Turkey.

Berkawi is attracting interest from Moroccan clubs, most notably Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca, who are looking to bolster their attacking line before the start of the new season.

Al-Barkawi joined Al-Raed in the summer of 2020 from Hassania Agadir. He has scored 63 goals and provided 7 assists in 131 matches across all competitions.

He excelled in multiple attacking roles, playing as a striker in 117 matches and scoring 61 goals, alongside his appearances as a left winger in 32 encounters.

On the international stage, Barkawi previously participated with the Moroccan national team in the 2021 Arab Cup in Qatar, where he played 3 matches and scored one goal.

The player's final decision is expected this week, capturing the attention of Moroccan and Arab football fans, given the multiple offers and his proven technical value both on and off the Saudi pitches.
