Ateef: The Main Cause of Al-Ittihad's Decline is Blanc
Ahmed Ateef, the former Saudi national team player, believes that the reason for the decline in the performance of Al-Ittihad is the team's coach, Laurent Blanc.
Al-Ittihad drew 1-1 against Al-Qadisiyah yesterday, Thursday, in a match as part of the 24th round of the Saudi Professional League.
Ateef said on the program "Dourina Ghair": "In my opinion, Al-Qadisiyah squandered the victory, losing two points against Al-Ittihad, which was fortunate to draw."
He added: "Al-Qadisiyah presented everything in terms of technical and tactical aspects and creating chances, while there was a clear lack of ideas from Al-Ittihad, which has significantly declined in performance during the recent matches."
He continued: "The main cause of Al-Ittihad's decline is Blanc, who lacks any tactical ideas to save the team. In my opinion, Al-Ittihad will lose the title by 70%, and the competition will be limited to Al-Hilal and Al-Qadisiyah."
He concluded: "Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr also have a chance, but Al-Hilal and Al-Qadisiyah will be the closest to winning the title, following Al-Ittihad's drop in performance and their constant squandering of points."
