Blanc: I Congratulate the Union Players Despite the Draw

Laurent Blanc, the coach of Al-Ittihad, spoke about his team's 1-1 draw with Al-Qadisiyah in the 24th round of the Roshan Saudi League on Thursday evening.

Blanc stated in his remarks after the match: "The main reason for today's result is the quality of the opponent, Al-Qadisiyah. They were an outstanding team, and at the same time, we lost to another team that I will not mention."

He added: "I admit that my team is experiencing a decline in performance, and we have injuries, but that is not an excuse for dropping points. Everyone plays against us with intensity because we are at the top of the table."

Blanc continued: "Despite the draw, I congratulate the players because many expected Al-Qadisiyah to win, but the Al-Ittihad players rejected the idea of losing."

Regarding the doubts about maintaining the league's top position, Blanc said: "We are aware of the strength of the competitors and the intensity of the competition. This means that the players must exert their utmost efforts and show their quality. Today, we must also commend Al-Qadisiyah and their coach for creating an outstanding team."

He concluded: "I put in a lot of effort with the players in that exceptional match. We cannot underestimate Al-Qadisiyah because this team has defeated Al-Nasr, then Al-Hilal, and other competing teams, and that demands our respect."
