Vitinha, the midfielder of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed optimism about his team's ability to compensate for the loss against Liverpool in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, confirming that the French team deserved to win in the first leg, which ended 1-0 in favor of the Reds.

Vitinha said: "It's difficult to play a match at this level against a team like Liverpool. They created only one chance and scored from it. We were the better team on the pitch, but we couldn't convert our chances into goals."

He added: "Now is the right time to show our true character. We will go there and achieve victory. We played a great match and we definitely deserved to win, but we were not lucky in front of goal."
