Clashes Between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain Fans in Budapest

The streets of Budapest witnessed clashes between Arsenal fans from England and Paris Saint-Germain fans from France, ahead of the UEFA Champions League final scheduled for tonight, amidst a significant security alert by the police.

Video footage, as published by the British newspaper 'Daily Mail', showed a brawl erupting on Kiraly Street between groups of fans, involving the throwing of flares, while chants from the French fans were heard during the events.

A police spokesperson confirmed that the authorities are investigating a mass disturbance and are working to identify those involved, noting the arrest of British fans on charges related to disorderly conduct and property damage.

The police are preparing to deploy around 4,000 personnel to secure the Puskas Arena and its surroundings, with concerns about thousands of fans arriving in the city without tickets, which may host up to an additional 45,000 visitors.

The police have also recorded scattered incidents since last night and continue to analyze video footage to identify those responsible for the clashes, amidst warnings of escalating tensions between the two teams' fans before the final kicks off.
