Benzema: I Won't Become a Coach, and I Want to Be Close to Florentino Pérez
Kareem Benzema, star of the Saudi Al-Ittihad team, revealed his future plans upon retiring from football permanently.
Benzema said in a press interview: "I have achieved everything with Real Madrid, I started as a child and ended my journey as a legend. I have won all the titles, including the Ballon d'Or."
He added: "I had offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, but I rejected them because I did not want to play against Real Madrid."
He elaborated on his plans after retirement: "I don't think about becoming a coach, but I want to be close to football and close to Real Madrid's president, Florentino Pérez.
He mentioned: "When Cristiano Ronaldo left, someone had to take the lead of the team, and I knew I had the talent for that."
He concluded regarding Kylian Mbappé: "Mbappé needs to score goals; he was signed for that purpose, and he is capable of winning the Ballon d'Or."
