Regarding the possibility of calling up Marco Asensio, the young star of Real Madrid, De la Fuente said: "Like many others, Asensio has the right to join the national team; all good players have a chance, especially given the current circumstances where injuries or setbacks can occur, but the doors are always open."

On Isco, De la Fuente clarified: "He has always been a candidate for inclusion, even when he was injured; I have a healthy habit of communicating with injured players, but he is now in great shape."
