Messi Forces American Club to Compensate Its Fans
The absence of Argentine star Lionel Messi from the match where his team Inter Miami won against Dynamo Houston 4-1 in the American League has forced Dynamo Houston to take a step to satisfy its fans.
Houston fans were eager to see Messi on their home ground, but the player agreed with his coach Javier Mascherano not to travel for this match in order to take a break amidst the busy schedule.
Dynamo Houston stated: "The recently shared player status report regarding the match did not include forward Lionel Messi. It was reported that he did not make the trip to Houston. Unfortunately, we do not control who plays for our opponent."
It continued: "Fans attending today's match will receive a free ticket to one of our upcoming matches this season. Additional details will be available early next week."
