Endrick: I Feel Angry, and We Want to Win the King's Cup
Thursday 27-02-2025
Real Madrid star Endrick appeared in a press statement after the 1-0 victory over Sociedad in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals at the Anoeta Stadium.

The Brazilian star said: "It was a difficult match, a cup match that we all wanted to win. Playing here is tough, but we did what we had to do: win. We won 0-1, which is good for us because we have the second leg at home. We will return to Madrid to train hard for the next match against Betis. And when the second leg comes, we will go to win."

Regarding his goal: "I started the play by passing the ball to Vinicius Junior, then to Bellingham, and I had open space. When he saw me, I ran and he gave me the ball. I controlled it well and shot the ball; it was a great goal for me. I love scoring goals because I want to help the team, but I can help either by scoring or by running. I am very happy with the win and the goal."

About his shot that hit the crossbar: "I am a bit angry now about the shot that hit the crossbar because it could have been much better. But I will get better by failing and then looking at my mistakes to see what I can do. I am happy with the goal; we are aiming to win the cup."

On Bellingham's assist: "When Bellingham got the ball and saw the field open, I had to run. I knew I wouldn't miss the pass. He is one of the best players in the world, and I knew the ball would come to me. I had to control the ball well and do it right, and when I was face-to-face with the goalkeeper, I had to score. I shot with the front of my foot as I should have."

He concluded about reaching his fourth goal in the Copa del Rey: "I am a hardworking person, and I have to keep it up. When I get the chance to play, I have to do something: score, run, or do anything necessary for the team. The most important thing is that if I play, I help the team. I love helping the team, and that’s what I do. I am very happy with my fourth goal in the cup and my sixth this season."
