Laurent Blanc's statements after the Al -Wahda match

The Saudi coach Laurent Blanc spoke about his team's victory against Al -Wahda today in the league.

Al-Ittihad achieved a sweeping victory over Al-Wahda 4-1 in a match in the 20th round of the Saudi Professional League.

"I am satisfied with the victory, but to be honest, I was not happy between the two halves," Plan said at the press conference after the match.

He added in statements carried by the Saudi newspaper "Al -Sharq Al -Awsat": "I spoke with the players and told them you did everything, you made opportunities, and you allowed the opponent to obtain opportunities, and you scored two goals."

And he added: "I told the players, please focus without a ball, and not to give the opponent any opportunity to score, and if you are able to score more goals, do that."

He continued: "We still need to improve the ball and without a ball. I told the players, I do not mind that we can take the ball, but we do not allow the opponent to make opportunities."

Blanc justified his involvement to the players who were threatened with the absence of the upcoming El Clasico match against Al -Hilal if they obtained a yellow card.

He explained: "If you want to maintain the lead, you should not give the opponent any opportunity, and we have professional players, and we do not suffer from pressure due to the lead, we would need complete points, and we respect the opponent."
