The coach of Borussia Dortmund club Niko Kovac appeared in important press statements after winning against Sporting Lisbon 3/0, in the first leg of the Champions League elimination.

"We did not provide the required performance in the first half, we played in a very slow style and we were waiting for the opponent instead of initiating the attack," Kovac said.

He added: "In the second half, we increased the speed of passing and moved better, which created more spaces for us, when you play quickly, you have the ability to surprise the opponent and force him to make mistakes."
