European Struggle to Sign Young Real Madrid Defender
Monday 27-04-2026
Trusted journalist Matteo Moretto revealed that several European clubs have shown interest in the young right-back Jesus Fortia, a player from Real Madrid, in recent times in anticipation of signing him.

Moretto explained that Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting Lisbon, and Ajax Amsterdam are among the clubs that inquired about the young player's status, alongside interest from Como.

He added that the player's future remains undecided so far, noting that everything that has happened does not exceed the stage of initial communications without any official decisions.

Fortia is 19 years old and has played 25 matches this season in various competitions with Castilla, during which he successfully assisted 4 goals. He is also tied to a long-term contract with Real Madrid that extends until the summer of 2029, giving the Spanish club a strong position in any future negotiations about him.

Fortia is considered one of the most prominent defensive talents in the Royal Club's academy and may be promoted to the first team next season if the club decides not to renew Dani Carvajal's contract, which expires this summer.
