The last defeat against Bologna in the Champions League was the separation point that prompted the club's management to make this difficult decision, and in this context, Lars Ricken, the administrative director of Borussia Dortmund, said that the decision was difficult but necessary given that the team's performance declined significantly.

"After four consecutive defeats, and only one victory in the last nine games, and since we are currently in the tenth place in the German league table, we have unfortunately lost confidence in the coach's ability to achieve our sports goals at the present time."

It is noteworthy that the club administration had reaffirmed its confidence in Nuri Shaheen after leaving the German Cup last October, noting that the issue of its continuation with the team was not discussed, and with the fact that the negative results continued, which led to the final decision to take the dismissal.

This change in leadership is an important step for Russia Dortmund in an attempt to improve the team's position in the German League and return to the path of victories in local and European competitions.
