Adeyemi's Demands Complicate Renewal Negotiations with Borussia Dortmund

The German newspaper Bild revealed that negotiations between Karim Adeyemi and the management of Borussia Dortmund have been stalled for several months, amid financial disagreements and contractual terms hindering the reach of a new agreement.

According to the report, the German player is under contract until the summer of 2027, but he is demanding a significant increase in his annual salary in exchange for agreeing to an extension. He wants to earn around 10 million euros annually, while he currently receives approximately 6.5 million euros.

The newspaper added that one of the main points of contention is Adeyemi's insistence on including a release clause in his new contract, which Dortmund's management does not seem eager to agree to at the moment.

The renowned agent Jorge Mendes is considered the link in the matter, yet the negotiations remain at a standstill among all parties involved so far.
