Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou appeared in press statements, after Liverpool's 1-0 win in the first leg of the English League Cup semi-final.

The coach told Sky Sports : “We faced difficulties all the time. We started very well and then we lost a key player (Bettencourt). This group can only be described as steadfast and they continue to work and this is what they did today.”

He added: “It is an order Unbelievable when you think about having two 18-year-olds. I've seen a lot of growth. I have no doubt that we will get through this period and get the players back, and what I have found in the interim is that we have some real players to help us be the team we want to be.
