Pioli: It was a tough match and Al-Qadisiyah deserved the win
Italian coach Stefano Pioli of Al-Nassr confirmed that the match against Al-Qadisiyah was tough and that his team did not capitalize on the opportunities that came their way.
Al-Nassr lost to Al-Qadisiyah with a score of 2-1 in a match held on Friday evening as part of the 28th round of the Saudi Professional League.
Pioli said during the press conference after the match: "It was a tough match between the two teams, and Al-Qadisiyah deserved to win."
He added: "I don't see that we were bad; we played very well, but we do not underestimate the level of the competition, its strength, and its value."
He continued: "My focus is on winning, and that's why I made the appropriate changes. I don't see any weakness in the attacking line in the match."
He elaborated: "We did not capitalize on the opportunities we had, unlike Al-Qadisiyah, who took advantage of two chances and scored to achieve victory. Our chances were not nonexistent."
He went on: "We lost a very important match, and every match has its circumstances. Sometimes we lose due to lack of luck, and sometimes we succeed, score, and win. We are aware of the difficult situation at the end of the season."
Pioli concluded: "We should not have lost this match; it was unexpected, but we must work to regain our strength until the end of the season."
