About the Team

Burundi national team. Known by the nickname 'The Swallows'. They play their matches at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium. The national team was established in 1971 and is considered one of the teams striving to achieve accomplishments on the African stage. The team has not achieved major successes at the continental level, but it always seeks to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Among its prominent regional competitors are the national teams of East African countries such as Rwanda and Uganda.
