About the Team

Niger. The Niger national football team is the official representative of the Republic of Niger in international tournaments, overseen by the Niger Football Federation (FENIFOOT), which was established in 1967 and joined FIFA in 1964 and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the same year. The team is considered one of the rising teams in Africa and is known by the nickname "the Eagles" (Ménas). It has participated in several editions of the Africa Cup of Nations and achieved some notable results in continental qualifiers, although it has not yet qualified for the World Cup finals. The team plays its matches at the AGA Khan National Stadium in Niamey and sometimes at other venues within the country, featuring professional players from the local league and some players in African and European leagues.
