The Tunisian Club Africain decided to terminate the contract of its Nigerian striker, Kingsley Edo, by mutual consent. Tunisian Radio Mosaique confirmed that the club had reached an agreement with Edu to terminate the contract.

He waived. The player was paid his late dues amounting to $90,000 in exchange for his departure for free before the start of the next winter transfer period.

Edu had been subjected to great criticism since last season for not providing the expected performance. In the attacking line, he also fell out of the calculations of French coach David Bitoni this season.
