The coach of the Argentine national team, Lionel Scaloni, spoke about the loss he suffered today, against the Paraguay national team, in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Scaloni said: “I am not here to criticize the national team players, but rather I am here to support them. We knew that the match would be difficult. We are here to move forward and give confidence to many new young people.”
He added: “In the first half we played a good match, but the initial movement at the beginning of the second half made things very difficult. We must congratulate the opponent who defended very well.”
He continued: “We are playing and hope that we will return to the right path. The team always tries and faces challenges in matches. The players do not give up any ball. After that, we will analyze what can be improved.”
He continued: “We looked for depth with the entry of Jarnacho. It is good for him to play this type of match. The entry of Castellanos was also good. He has interesting movements, and we are happy to have him with us.”
He concluded his speech: “Peru will be a completely different opponent, but it will also pose a difficulty. We will prepare well and hope that we can make people happy. We are confident in what we are doing.”
It is noteworthy that the Argentine national team will face the Peruvian national team, on Wednesday, November 20, as part of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
