Slott: We wanted to win, and what we showed was impressive
Liverpool coach Arne Sloat appeared in press statements after the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the ninth round of the English Premier League.
The coach said: “After we were late "Twice, it was pleasing to see that we were able to get back into the game, especially with one less day to recover. I'm pleased that we were stronger in the second half than the first. I came here to win but a draw was probably a result we could afford, especially after the first half." /p>
He added: “Arsenal have many quality players. You can go through difficult moments in the match. I was happy to score from a free kick. We needed that because we were not dominant.” "Absolutely from open play they deserved to go 2-1 up in the first half but the way we showed in the second half was impressive."
On Liverpool's second goal. “Two minutes before the second goal, Trent [Alexander-Arnold] was closer to the 18-yard box and received some criticism for the pass. The good thing about Trent was that he tried again and it led to a great goal for the team.”
He continued: “Darwin [Nunez] did not participate in many matches, but now he had to play every match because we needed him to score a goal. He continued to play with all his energy.”
He concluded: “In the first 10-15 minutes after the end of the first half, we were better than the first half. But the inclusion of three high-quality players brought us a lot of energy, and this helped us in the match.”
