Dr. Mohamed Osama, head of the Zamalek club’s medical staff, revealed this Saturday evening the extent of the injury suffered by Mohamed Shehata, the team’s player, on the sidelines of his participation in the Kenyan Police match.
Zamalek achieved a precious victory over its Kenyan counterpart, Al-Shorta, with an unanswered goal, scored by player Abdullah Al-Saeed, in the match that was held in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation Championship.
The Zamalek doctor explained in press statements that Shehata suffered a strain in his calf muscle, and will undergo a treatment program in the coming period to prepare him optimally to return as soon as possible.
The Zamalek doctor did not reveal Shehata’s position on participating in the return match against the Kenyan police, which will be held at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation Championship.
The return match between Zamalek and Kenyan Police is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 20, 2024, at exactly eight o’clock in the evening, Cairo and Mecca time, i.e. nine o’clock in the evening, local time. Abu Dhabi.
