Decision on Ouno's punishment postponed to next week in respect for Jesus de Miguel's family
The Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary committee has postponed its decision regarding the events that occurred during the Tenerife vs Andorra match until next week, following the violent collision between Andorra's goalkeeper Jesús Ouno and Tenerife player Jesús de Miguel, who passed away from his injuries the day after the match.
The committee was expected to review the incident involving the sending off of Ouno, but decided to postpone the decision out of respect for the family of the late player, especially since the funeral ceremonies were held today, Thursday.
The committee clarified that matters related to the report of the Tenerife and Andorra match "will be decided in the upcoming period", after the professional competitions judge determined the fate of the match and decided to approve the draw result of 2-2, despite two minutes remaining until its conclusion when the incident occurred.
The fate of potential disciplinary sanctions against Ouno will not be known until next week, as the committee determined that the deadline for the two clubs to submit objections begins after the match is officially completed by the competition judge, granting them additional time to present their observations.
