Como close the door on Nico Paz's departure in January
Como are determined to keep Argentine Nico Paz, rejecting the idea of selling him during the upcoming winter transfer window, despite interest from Chelsea and other clubs, according to TEAMtalk.
The 22-year-old player has become a key figure in coach Cesc Fàbregas's project after scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists in all competitions during the 2025/2026 season, before Como signed him permanently for 60 million euros.
Nico Paz is attracting interest from Chelsea, with Xabi Alonso impressed by his potential, alongside interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. Real Madrid also holds a buy-back clause for him at €80 million during the summer of 2027.
The report indicated that Como may demand over 100 million euros from other clubs interested in signing the player, who is considered a key element in their project, especially with the team participating in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its history.
Como are expected to maintain their position during January, with discussions about Nico Paz's future likely to resume next summer, especially if he continues to deliver impressive performances.
