Cardinale: I will be active in every transfer window and an important announcement for AC Milan is coming soon
Jerry Cardinale, owner of AC Milan, has confirmed his commitment to continue investing in the transfer market, indicating that the club is preparing to announce something new in the near future. These statements were made ahead of the clash against Inter in the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday evening.
Cardinale said in an interview with "Sky Sport": "My goal is to bring AC Milan back to the top of football, and when I arrived here, I quickly realized the importance of the club's history and its legends. We want to leverage the legacy of the figures who made AC Milan's history and build partnerships with the past to reach the future we aspire to."
The owner of AC Milan spoke about the team's coach, Ruben Amorim, expressing his satisfaction with his choice. He said: "He is my coach, and we have a great relationship. He is doing a great job with the team and the players; he is a true coach and manager, and he works on developing the players, which is what I want. I am happy with the choice I made."
Regarding the club's plans in the transfer market, Cardinale stressed his desire to keep moving continuously, saying: "I want to be active in every transfer window and try to take advantage of all available opportunities. Since I took ownership of the club in June 2022, my goal has been to bring it back to the top of Italian and European football, and we are doing our utmost, and there will be an announcement soon."
He also touched on the new shared stadium project with Inter, emphasizing his respect for the rival club and his desire to transfer the experiences he gained in the United States to the project, adding: "I want to bring the best of what I learned in the United States and contribute from AC Milan's side to make this stadium the best, and to transfer this experience not only to AC Milan but to Serie A as well."
Reports have linked the upcoming announcement to the potential appointment of Markus Krösche as the head of the football sector at the club, although Cardinale has not officially revealed the nature of the announcement.
