Al-Faisaly coach reveals reasons for loss to Al-Fayha in Saudi Pro League

Giovani Solinas, the head coach of Al-Faisaly, has blamed defensive regression and physical fatigue for his team's loss against Al-Fayha FC by a score of 4-1, in the 12th round of the Saudi Pro League.

Solinas stated during the press conference after the match that his team looked good in the first half and succeeded in imposing their control over the course of the game, according to the plan set by the coaching staff.

Al-Faisaly's performance changed significantly after the break, with the defensive system failing to maintain its level, which allowed the opponent to exploit spaces and come back into the game.

Al-Faisaly's coach confirmed that the decline in the backline cost his team four goals, after the players lost the necessary defensive focus during the second half of the match.

Solinas discussed the physical differences between the two teams, explaining that Al-Fayha FC benefited from having a nine-day rest period before the match.

It was pointed out that Al-Faisaly did not have the same period for preparation, considering that the difference in rest periods reflected on the players' readiness, and was one of the influencing factors in the result of the Derby of Al-Sadir.
