Manchester United are considering Tyrick Mitchell, the Crystal Palace defender, as a potential option to strengthen their left-back position, given the shortage of players in that area, especially after injuries to Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mirror", Manchester United's need to sign a left-back has increased after injuries revealed the limited options available, alongside the club's need to find a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw, who is in his thirteenth season with the team.

Tyrick Mitchell is 27 years old and has played 256 matches for Crystal Palace. He has significant experience in the Premier League and is proficient at playing both as a traditional left-back and as a left wing-back.

The player's contract with Crystal Palace ends next June, while the London club is seeking to renew his contract. However, Manchester United could benefit from his contractual situation to finalize the deal for a suitable amount, especially since the "Ineos" group does not seem prepared to spend large sums during the winter transfer window to address the team's issues.
