Basim Qasim: We face difficult circumstances, but we are determined to achieve victory against Al-Nasr SC

In light of the technical circumstances and complex results the team has been experiencing recently, Al Zawraa's head coach Basim Qasim and former international star Ali Adnan held a comprehensive and candid press conference to talk about the anticipated clash against Al-Nasr SC tomorrow evening, Wednesday, at Al Zawraa Stadium in Baghdad, as part of the second round of the Gulf Club Champions League.

Al Zawraa's manager Bassem Qassem has stated that the match against Al-Nasr SC comes at an important time for the team to review their accounts and correct the mistakes that have appeared in recent matches.

Qassem clarified during the press conference, saying: "We are well aware that we are going through a phase of decline in performance and results, and this is something that happens in football to even the strongest clubs, but work is ongoing and efforts are intense to address the issues and regain the strong rhythm we started the season with."

The experienced coach added: "We are facing a distinguished and organized opponent in Al-Nasr SC, who come off a big win in the Gulf Club Champions League and possess strong attacking and defensive tools. However, we are playing at home and among our fans in Baghdad, and the goal is clear for us, which is to deliver a performance worthy of the name Al Zawraa and to collect the three points."

Qassem concluded his remarks by saying: "I urge the fans to support the players during this critical time, and I have great confidence in the group's ability to deliver a strong reaction on the pitch."

Al Zawraa defender Ali Adnan has expressed his courage in facing fan pressure, emphasizing that players are the first to bear responsibility for the recent performances and decline in levels.

Ali Adnan said: "We players are not satisfied with the level we have shown recently, and we know that the fans of Al Zawraa are not satisfied, and they have the right to feel that way. The fans are our primary motivator and the main driving force behind our victories."

Ali Adnan explained: "The match against Al-Nasr SC represents a perfect opportunity for us to prove that what we have gone through is nothing but a temporary setback. The opponent is going through a good time and has excellent stability, but Al Zawraa has the character and experience to handle big occasions."

The star of Al Zawraa concluded: "We are suffering from some pressures and fatigue, but these matters must be left outside the pitch. We have pledged as players to unite and fight for 90 minutes to achieve victory and make our loyal supporters happy."
