Ali Adnan opens up and explains reasons for Al Zawraa's decline

Following the painful defeat suffered by Al Zawraa against their traditional rivals Al-Shorta, losing two goals to nil in the capital's classic, bold and fiery statements from former international star Ali Adnan have surfaced. He clearly expressed his assessment of the complex technical reality that the team is experiencing, emphasizing that the players must take full responsibility in front of the angry fans, and considering that the current decline is merely a stumble of a noble steed capable of rising again.

Al Zawraa defender Ali Adnan has acknowledged the team's overall decline in performance compared to their strong and ideal start to the domestic campaign, confirming that the police classic was the true test that revealed the tactical errors and poor positioning that have plagued the group during the recent rounds, especially after playing three consecutive matches away from home and being distanced from the warmth of the blue stands.

Ali Adnan has stated with a tone full of transparency and responsibility: "We must be realistic with ourselves and with the fans. We players have not delivered the expected level in recent matches. For me personally, the fans are not just the 12th player, but the number one player and the main motivation for winning titles. They have every right to be angry about this barren performance, and I am the first to take responsibility for this decline."

The former international player with a long professional career clarified that the competition for the Iraq Stars League title has not ended at all, stating: "The points gap between the leading teams is still very close and the league has a long and arduous journey ahead. Modern football does not recognize history alone but rather the performance on the pitch, and what we went through against Al-Shorta and the previous negative results is just a temporary setback that we will overcome with hard work."

Al Zawraa's star added a direct message to the stands: "I urge the loyal supporters of Al Zawraa to continue their support and unity behind the team in these critical times, as everyone in the dressing room feels the weight of national and sporting responsibility. We will work with all our energy in the upcoming training sessions to correct the course and return Al Zawraa to their rightful place at the top of the league table."
