Modrić breaks Ibrahimović's record and makes history in Serie A
Luka Modrić, the Croatian star of AC Milan, continues to write history in Serie A after achieving a new record by contributing to the Rossoneri's 2-0 win over Udinese in the eighth round of the competition.
According to the "Opta" statistics network, Luka Modrić has become the most assists provider in Serie A after reaching the age of 40, since the competition returned to a 20-team format in the 2004-2005 season, as he raised his tally to 4 assists.
The Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić has surpassed the previous record held by Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, who managed only 3 assists in Serie A after reaching the age of 40.
The new achievement came thanks to Luka Modrić's decisive pass to American Christian Pulisic, who scored the opener for AC Milan in the 6th minute against Udinese, confirming that the Croatian star's age has not prevented him from continuing to shine and make a difference in the Rossoneri shirt.
