Yamal travels to London for Ballon d'Or ceremony while Cubarsí misses out to rest

Pau Cubarsí, the FC Barcelona defender, will miss the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London as he has decided to stay in Barcelona to recover and regain his fitness following a grueling match schedule. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal traveled to the British capital on a private jet accompanied by family members and friends.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Pau Cubarsí will not be part of FC Barcelona's squad heading to London, as he preferred to rest in preparation for the match against Alavés on Saturday.

Coach Hans Flick has granted FC Barcelona players a two-day break after their loss in the Clasico, with the team set to resume training on Wednesday in preparation for their next match.

Joan Laporta will lead the FC Barcelona delegation at the event, joined by vice presidents Rafa Yuste and Elena Fort, and board members Xavi Barnils and Xavi Puig.

The list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or includes Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, Rodri, and Juan, along with several other football players.
