Al-Ittihad secured a 2-0 victory against Al-Dhariyah in their match on Friday evening at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the 11th round of the Saudi Pro League.

Jorge Elenikina opened the scoring for Al-Ittihad in the 30th minute, giving his team the advantage in the first half, before Jorginho Wijnaldum doubled the lead with a second goal from a penalty in the 77th minute.

Al-Ittihad have not only secured three points but have also enhanced their record against clubs they are facing for the first time in the history of the Saudi Pro League, achieving their eighth consecutive victory against these teams.

Al-Ittihad's last defeat came against a team they faced for the first time in September 2019, when they fell to Damak 2-1, before starting a run of positive results that extended to eight consecutive matches.

On the attacking front, Al-Ittihad have continued to score in all of their last eight matches against newly promoted clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with their goalless draw against Al-Adalah in January 2020 being the last match in which they failed to find the net against a team of this category.

Al-Ittihad have increased their tally to 23 points after their victory over Al-Dhariyah, placing them fourth in the Saudi Pro League table as they continue their pursuit of progress in the competition in the upcoming rounds.

In contrast, Al-Dhariyah remains in 8th place with 15 points after failing to secure a positive result at Al-Inma Stadium, leaving the match with a loss to Al-Ittihad by two goals to nil.
