Bruno Lage: The first half against Riyadh was the best for Diriyah this season

Lag stated in the press conference that the first half was the best for his team since the start of the season, confirming that Al-Dhariyah deserved the victory after his players delivered a strong performance and created numerous chances.

Al-Dhariyah's coach noted that Riyadh's improved performance in the second half forced his team to focus more on protecting their goal, stating that he will analyze the match to assess the players' performance and identify areas that need development.

Laj praised goalkeeper Amin Bukhari but confirmed that selecting players for the Saudi national team is not his responsibility, saying he only trains Al-Dharaiya. He also pointed out that the work of the goalkeeper coach coming from SL Benfica helps to improve the level of the team's goalkeepers.

In contrast, Doulak stated that football can be unfair, explaining that his team created many chances but did not convert them into goals, while Al-Dhariyah succeeded in exploiting one of their opportunities and clinched the match.

The coach added that his team deserved a better result, pointing out that they had 16 shots during the match, only four of which were on target, reflecting the difficulty of turning attempts into real threats.

Doulak explained that his team struggled to advance into the Al-Dhahriah areas during the first 15 minutes, before performance improved after the water break. However, the attacking improvement was not enough to equalize.

Al-Dhariyah have increased their tally to 15 points in 8th place after Oscar Rodríguez scored the only goal of the match, while Al-Riyadh remain on 9 points in 12th place despite their attempts to come back.

Bruno Lage praised his players' performance during the win over Riyadh by a goal to nil in the 10th round of the Roshn League, while Maurício Dolak expressed his frustration at the missed chances.
