Onana involved in car accident in Türkiye
André Onana, the Manchester United goalkeeper on loan to Trabzonspor, was involved in a car accident following his team's 2-0 victory over Hearts on Thursday evening in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The British newspaper "Daily Mirror" reported that the Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana was taken to hospital after a car collided with the back of his vehicle, causing it to crash into the car in front of him. He later left the hospital after undergoing medical tests, the results of which were reassuring.
Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has stated to local media: "André Onana was involved in a traffic accident earlier this evening. He has no issues, and we wish him a speedy recovery."
André Onana has been performing well with Trabzonspor this season, keeping four clean sheets in his last five matches. He has started in all of the team's matches so far, as they prepare to face Rizespor next Monday in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
André Onana joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan for around £43.8 million, before moving to Trabzonspor on loan following the arrival of goalkeeper Sinan Bolat at the English club.
