Scaloni agrees to extend contract with Argentina until World Cup 2030
Lionel Scaloni, the head coach of Argentina, has agreed to extend his contract to continue leading the World Cup champions until the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
According to Argentine journalist Cézar Luis Merlo, Scaloni has given his approval to the offer made by the Argentine Football Association in September, while final details are currently being agreed upon before the contract is officially signed.
This agreement is set to ensure Scaloni continues to lead the Argentina national team in the coming years, after achieving notable successes with them, including winning the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Copa América in 2021 and 2024, and the Finalissima in 2022.
Despite the Argentine coach's approval of the offer, final details are still being arranged, after which the signing of the contract and the official announcement of his continuation until the FIFA World Cup 2030 will follow.
