Al Nassr overcome Al Daraiyah with three goals in Saudi Pro League
Al Nassr thrashed their guests Al Daraiyah 3-0 on Friday evening in the match that brought the two teams together in the 8th round of the Saudi Pro League, with a clear attacking advantage for the global team.
The capital team has increased its tally to 19 points, matching Al Qadsiah at the top of the table, while Al Dar'iyah remains on 11 points, staying in ninth place.
The match began with a flurry of attempts, with Al Nassr's goalkeeper saving a shot from Chancel Mbemba in the 6th minute. Sadio Mané responded with a shot eight minutes later, which was brilliantly saved by the Al Daraiya goalkeeper.
The home side increased the pressure, with defenders blocking a shot from Samu Costa in the 18th minute. Mohamed Simakan then missed a clear chance with a header in the 20th minute, before Cristiano Ronaldo converted the dominance into a goal in the 23rd minute, with a right-footed shot from inside the area that settled in the top left corner.
Samou Costa added the second goal in the 35th minute with a header inside the box, capitalising on a João Félix cross from a corner. João Félix then tried to add a third in the 43rd minute, but the Al-Dhariyah goalkeeper excelled and saved his shot, leaving Al-Nassr leading by two goals at half-time.
In the second half, Al Nassr continued their attack until Kingsley Coman scored the third goal in the 77th minute, finishing a counter-attack with a powerful right-footed shot from inside the area that found the bottom left corner.
