Talabi sends message to Sunderland fans amid reduced chances of participation

Moroccan international Shamseddine Talbi has sent a message of thanks to Sunderland fans for their continued support during a difficult period due to limited appearances under coach Régis Le Bris.

Talabi shared a photo of himself greeting fans on his Instagram story, accompanied by a brief message that said: "Thank you for the support," along with two heart emojis in red and white, referencing the club's colors.

Moroccan winger's message came after Sunderland lost to AFC Bournemouth by two goals to nil, in a match where he remained on the bench without getting a chance to participate, despite the attacking difficulties faced by his team. Media reports indicated that a number of fans continued to chant the player's name, calling for him to be given an opportunity to play during the match.

The match between AFC Bournemouth and Al-Hala was not the first time Talbi has been absent from the coach's options, as he previously remained on the bench against Brighton, despite Sunderland needing to change the course of the game while the opposing team was playing with ten men.

Despite limited playing time in the Premier League, the Moroccan player previously made his mark with Sunderland, scoring the winning goal against Hull City in the EFL Cup last September, following a strong run from midfield that he finished with a successful shot.

However, that goal has not yet reflected on his regular presence in league matches, amid the competition for places and the coaching staff's desire to continue developing his abilities.

Ayman Al-Talabi's future with Sunderland has raised questions in recent times, before both parties reached an agreement for him to continue with the team. The player also missed the club's UEFA Europa League squad during the period when discussions about his situation took place, leaving the current challenge for him to regain his place in the coach's plans and secure more opportunities to participate.
