Details of Nasser Mansy's crisis with Mo'tamed Gamal
Abdel Nasser Zidan has revealed the details of the crisis involving Nasser Mansy, a player for Zamalek SC, and the team's coach, Moataz Jamal, as well as the reasons for its escalation after the player scored the winning goal for the Whites against the Rwandan Army in the first leg of the CAF Champions League on Friday.
Zinedine Zidane stated in remarks on the "Stadium Egypt" program broadcast on "Modern MTI": "The spark of the crisis ignited when Nasser Mansy scored the winning goal for Zamalek SC against the Rwandan army in the 90th minute of yesterday's match in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second round."
He added: "Nasser Mansy went off script, threw the Zamalek shirt on the ground, and approached the bench and his coach Moataz Gamal angrily. Zamalek players surrounded Mansy, led by Omar Gaber, to celebrate his goal against the Rwandan army."
He explained: "Nasser Mansy's crisis with Moataz Jamal began weeks ago when the forward became the third striker in the team and fell out of the coach's plans."
It was noted that Mo'tamed Gamal placed Nasser Mansy as a substitute in several matches for Hossam Ashraf and Ahmed Sherif, and he criticized his performance more than once, which angered the player, especially in light of his brilliance before the international break.
He concluded: "Nasser Mansy's lack of a starting position in the 133rd summit, despite Hossam Ashraf's absence from the starting lineup, has caused tension between the player and his coach, escalating the conflict between the two sides. This came to a head when Mansy lost his temper after scoring the winning goal against the Rwandan army, spitting on the ground and throwing down his Zamalek SC shirt in a fit of rage."
