Militão returns to action with Real Madrid after 6 months out
Brazilian defender Éder Militão has returned to action for Real Madrid after coming on as a substitute against Sevilla in LaLiga, ending a nearly six-month absence due to injury.
José Mourinho decided to give Éder Militão minutes after the match result was in Real Madrid's favor, as he came on in the 85th minute for Federico Valverde.
Éder Militão began training with the rest of his teammates on September 28, following a lengthy rehabilitation period, in preparation for his return to the pitch after the serious injury he sustained against Alavés on April 21 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Brazilian defender Éder Militão suffered a hamstring tendon tear in his left leg and underwent surgery a week after the injury, with initial estimates suggesting he would be out for five months. However, his return has been delayed, and he is now approaching a six-month absence.
Éder Militão's return is a significant boost for Real Madrid as the team needs additional defensive options in the upcoming phase, with the ongoing competition in LaLiga and the upcoming challenges in various tournaments.
