Nzonzi: No player in the world matches Mbappé.. Rodri the best in his position

Former Sevilla player and 2018 FIFA World Cup champion Steven Nzonzi believes his compatriot Kylian Mbappé is currently the best player in the world, stating that he sees no player who matches him technically. He also nominated Rodri, a Manchester City player, to be the best in his position.

Steven Nzonzi, in an interview with Spanish newspaper "AS", stated that Mbappé deserves to win the upcoming Ballon d'Or, despite not achieving the titles he was aiming for. He added: "There are players who win titles, but I believe there is no player in the world who matches Mbappé in terms of technical ability. I respect everyone's opinions, but this is my view. The Ballon d'Or should go to the best player or the one who has delivered the most outstanding performances, and I believe no player has delivered what Kylian has."

In discussing the possibility of Kylian Mbappé reaching the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Steven Nzonzi clarified that the French forward is on the right track, but he has not yet attained the status of the two legends. He pointed out that they have achieved everything at both individual and collective levels, while Mbappé still has much to prove. The future will reveal his ability to reach their level.

Steven Nzonzi spoke about Eduardo Camavinga, who he played alongside at Rennes, expressing his confidence in Camavinga's ability to regain his best levels and shine with Real Madrid and the French national team, despite a recent dip in form. He said: "Camavinga is a top-class player, and I believe injuries have hindered his development, but he is only 23 years old, and he can become one of the best midfielders in Europe."

Eduardo Camavinga has the technical, physical, and tactical abilities necessary for success, but he needs confidence and consistency. It was emphasized that the pressures associated with playing for Real Madrid can be psychologically challenging. He also pointed out that his French teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni serves as a model for Camavinga to follow, having become a key player for both Real Madrid and the French national team.

Steven Nzonzi praised Aurélien Tchouaméni, describing him as a natural leader, and also commended Rodri for his great intelligence and exceptional ability to control the midfield. He said: "I think Rodri is the best in his position right now," pointing out that the duo can play together thanks to their tactical intelligence and ability to balance the team.

Steven Nzonzi believes Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal are currently the best wingers in the world, explaining that both have the ability to make a difference and entertain the fans, and he sees that they are performing at similar levels.

Steven Nzonzi, 37, previously played alongside Eduardo Camavinga at Rennes and had a notable stint with Sevilla, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2016 before lifting the FIFA World Cup with France in Russia in 2018.
