Hamdallah continues to chase Al-Somah and narrows the gap

Moroccan Abdelrazak Hamdallah has closed the gap between himself and the top of the all-time goalscorers in the Saudi Pro League after scoring a goal for Al Taawoun against Al Daraiyah during the ninth round of the league.

The Al Taawoun striker has increased his tally to 159 goals in the history of the competition, closing in on Syrian Omar Al-Somah, the star of Al Ahly FC and former player for Al Urooba and Al Hazm, who leads the list with 161 goals.

Abderrazak Hamdallah needs just two goals to equal the record of Omar Al-Somah, while three additional goals are required to take the lead in a historic race that Saudi football fans are eagerly watching.

The Moroccan striker continues to enhance his scoring tally thanks to his vast experience and ability to find the net, remaining one of the top contenders for the leading goal scorer since the start of the Saudi Pro League.

All eyes are on the upcoming rounds to see if Hamedallah can catch up with Omar Al-Somah and surpass his record, becoming the all-time top scorer of the Saudi Pro League and ending the Syrian star's lead.
