Al-Bulayhi matches second highest red card tally in Saudi Pro League history
Ali Al-Bulayhi, the defender for Al-Shabab, has set a negative record in the Saudi Pro League after receiving his fifth red card during the match against Al-Taawoun in the 8th round of the Saudi Pro League.
The decision to send off Ali Al-Bulayhi came after the match referee reviewed the VAR, before showing the direct red card to the Al-Shabab defender, adding another incident to his disciplinary record in the Saudi Pro League.
Statistics from Opta have revealed that Ali Al-Bulayhi has the second highest red card tally in the history of the Saudi Pro League, since the statistics for the competition began in the 2009-2010 season.
Al-Shabab defender shares this position with eight other players, having received five red cards, making him one of the players most frequently sent off in the competition.
Mohammed Al-Khabrani leads the historical list with seven red cards, while Ali Al-Bulayhi is closing in on this number with five after the recent match against Al-Taawoun.
