Officially.. AC Milan ends second partnership with the Democratic Republic of the Congo
AC Milan has ended its second partnership with the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo due to the other party's breach of contractual obligations, according to "Calcio e Finanza".
The details of the case date back to October 2024, when a cooperation agreement was announced between the two parties to promote tourism in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, before the initial agreement faltered due to the non-payment of the agreed financial dues, which led the Italian club to terminate it in January 2025.
In May 2025, the two parties reached a new settlement involving a payment to AC Milan, temporarily suspending arbitration proceedings, along with entering into a new three-year sponsorship agreement, providing sponsorship rights and various services different from the original agreement.
However, the second agreement also ended due to non-fulfillment of contractual obligations, while AC Milan continues to seek compensation for damages in front of the London Court of Arbitration, according to Italian reports.
