Capello: I was impressed by Milan's control and Juventus have become more effective with Kolo Muani and Vlahović
Former Italian coach Fabio Capello praised the performances of AC Milan and Juventus following their wins against Salzburg and Celta Vigo, respectively, in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
Fabio Capello, in statements reported by the Italian network "Sky Sport", said that what impressed him most about AC Milan's 4-0 win over Salzburg was the team's ability to impose their control on the match, noting that the players of coach Ruben Amorim did not struggle against the pace of play.
He added: "I was very impressed with Milan, and finally, Loftus-Cheek put in a good performance; I saw him going in strong in tackles and regaining possession. He and Rabiot helped their teammates a lot, and everyone fought on the pitch." He also praised the player Cissé, who scored three goals, describing him as an interesting player, but he still needs more maturity and development.
In discussing Juventus' 2-1 win over Celta Vigo, Capello praised the attacking duo of Kolo Muani and Fagioli, as each scored a goal, emphasizing that the most important thing was their success in finding the net. He described Kolo Muani's goal as wonderful, explaining that his movement from the left side into the center gave him more freedom compared to playing as a traditional striker.
Fabio Capello believes that Voltamade has the necessary qualities to play in this position but needs a player who constantly moves around him, pointing out his ability to retain the ball and act as an attacking pivot. He expressed surprise at Juventus not relying more on crosses, emphasizing that the height of the German striker provides the team with an important option, and that benefiting from him is not limited to headers but also includes passing the ball to him inside the penalty area.
