Paris and the cities of Massy and Poissy are candidates to host Paris Saint-Germain's new stadium
Paris Saint-Germain is working to determine the future of its stadium, considering three options: renovating and expanding the Parc des Princes in the capital, Paris, building a new stadium in the city of Massy in the Essonne department, or in the city of Poissy in the Yvelines department.
According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe", the management of Paris Saint-Germain will determine the location of the stadium by December 20, based on feasibility studies conducted over the past few months regarding the three projects.
The club is set to begin advanced negotiations with representatives of the chosen site in early 2027, aiming to determine the commitments of the parties involved in the project. It is still unclear whether the club will completely rule out the other two options or keep them as potential alternatives.
If Paris Saint-Germain opts to renew and expand Parc des Princes, they do not rule out temporarily moving to another stadium, with the Stade de France likely to host their matches during the construction period, given the scale of the required works.
According to the report, the implementation of the project may take between six and ten years, including the completion of legal procedures, obtaining the necessary permits, and construction or renovation work, while the club's ideal goal is to open the stadium in 2035.
