Real Madrid agrees with Bellingham to extend his contract
Real Madrid have agreed to extend Jude Bellingham's contract until June 30, 2031, with a salary increase reflecting his importance and impact within the team, according to the Spanish newspaper "AS".
Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Borussia Dortmund, on a contract that was set to run until the end of the 2028/2029 season, before an agreement was reached to extend it for an additional two years. Negotiations began in the latter part of last season, with full understanding between both parties.
The English player has established his position since arriving, becoming one of the influential figures in the dressing room as Real Madrid seeks new leaders to replace experienced and impactful players such as Daniel Carvajal, Luka Modrić, and Toni Kroos.
Jude Bellingham has regained his form after overcoming shoulder issues that required surgery. The arrival of José Mourinho has also helped him return to his preferred position behind Kylian Mbappé, with greater freedom to move, contribute defensively, and press opponents.
On the international stage, Jude Bellingham has strengthened his position with the England national team after scoring eight goals in the World Cup. He also scored three goals and provided three assists in LaLiga during the current season.
