The Spanish Football Federation's appeals committee has rejected Real Madrid's appeal, confirming Vinicius Junior's four-match suspension following his red card against Villarreal. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", the royal club intends to escalate the case to the Spanish Administrative Sports Court.

With this decision, Vinicius Junior will miss Real Madrid's matches against Sevilla, FC Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia in La Liga, and he is set to return after the international break during the clash with Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid has requested the cancellation of a two-match suspension due to a red card, or a reduction to one match. They also asked for the two-match suspension imposed for the player's protests against referee Díaz de Mera to be lifted, or for the player to be given only a warning.

The appeals committee has rejected all of the club's requests, confirming that there was no clear material error in the referee's decision and that the application of Article 130.2 of the Disciplinary Code was correct, as the incident did not occur during actual competition for the ball.

The committee found no shortcomings in the reasoning of the Disciplinary Committee's decision, maintaining the total penalty of four matches as Real Madrid awaits an appeal to the Spanish Administrative Sports Court.
