Thierry Henry praises the development of Doyé: You can't be stopped
Former French star Thierry Henry praised the significant development shown by his compatriot Désiré Doué, a Paris Saint-Germain player, following his impressive performance in the 4-2 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday evening in the UEFA Champions League.
During an interview with CBS Sports Golazo after the match, Thierry, his former coach with the Olympic team, congratulated him and praised the progress he has made since working with him two years ago during the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
Henry said: "I have to say something. I don't know if people know that I coached you, but Désiré Doué that I saw two years ago is completely different from the player I see today. The way you behave, your personality, your style of dealing with the game... when you try to be yourself, Désiré Doué, instead of being someone else, you become an unstoppable player."
Arsenal and France legend added: "I believed in your abilities, and now you are proving that. Well done."
For his part, Doyé seemed affected by the words of his former coach, responding: "Thank you, coach! I work every day, and I believe I have a lot of potential. I need to show it in every match, enjoy playing every time, and maintain consistency in my level."
Thierry Henry's praise came after an impressive performance by Doi against Manchester City, where he scored one goal and assisted another, directly contributing to Paris Saint-Germain's victory by four goals to two, highlighting the development that has made him one of the standout attacking elements in the Parisian team.
