Christian Kivu, the head coach of Inter Milan, acknowledged the need to address the mistakes his team is suffering from following the 4-3 loss to Club Brugge at San Siro in the UEFA Champions League. The match saw Nicolò Tresoldi shine by scoring three goals, alongside a goal from Vermant, despite a brace from Lautaro Martínez.

Kievo stated in remarks to "Sky Sport": "We had a good first half in terms of intensity, we did the right things, then we faced some unfavorable circumstances, but we managed to come back into the match."

He added: "We started the second half well and had some chances to score, but we didn't take advantage of them. After that, a sense of frustration and haste caused us to lose our balance, and since we fell behind 1-2, everything went off track, and we couldn't maintain our composure or stick to the game plan. We must also commend the opponent who put us under great pressure."

Inter have conceded 13 goals so far in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, prompting their coach to emphasize the need to review certain aspects, especially in the continental competition. He said: "There are things that need to be reassessed, especially in the UEFA Champions League, where it is difficult to recover from results against teams that have quality and know how to exploit opportunities. We need to focus on balance and second balls, and we definitely need to work, and we are aware of that."

Kievo's coach has taken responsibility for his team's inability to maintain mental balance in certain matches, explaining: "I take responsibility because I couldn't find the right mental balance for the team in this type of match. We must maintain our confidence, as we still have six matches ahead of us. These results are painful considering the expectations, and we need to work hard on both the tactical and mental levels to regain balance during matches."

Inter's coach emphasized that frustration caused his players to lose focus and discipline, adding: "We pushed forward too much and forgot to get back. We pressed incorrectly, faced long balls, and failed to equalize because we were constantly arriving late, and in the UEFA Champions League, you pay the price for these mistakes."

Kievo concluded his statements by emphasizing the need to handle match situations better, saying: "The UEFA Champions League differs from Serie A in terms of intensity and technical quality, but our duty is to find the right balance, knowing that every small mistake can cost us a lot. We must remain calm and patient without losing our potential, and not lose confidence and enthusiasm, but we should have read the match better. We need to find the right mentality to deal with different moments in UEFA Champions League matches."
