Napoli sporting director reveals club's stance on McTominay contract renewal
Giovani Mana, SSC Napoli's sporting director, confirmed that the club is working on renewing midfielder Scott McTominay's contract, noting the player's desire to continue with the team in the coming years.
Manna, in statements to "Sky Sport" before the match against Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League, said that McTominay is still under contract with SSC Napoli until 2028, explaining: "We are working on it, he has two years left on his contract, and he wants to stay, and we also want him to continue."
The sporting director of SSC Napoli added: "We hope to reach a solution, but we also have to balance the financial aspects," referring to the fact that agreeing on the economic details is part of the ongoing negotiations between the two parties.
Scott McTominay has returned to the starting lineup after undergoing heart surgery, while SSC Napoli's management is working to finalize his contract renewal and ensure his continued presence in the team's future project.
